TruStrip Rapid Progesterone Test Kit to Screen for Ovulation in Dogs and Cow

Alpha Diagnostic International, Inc. (ADI) is excited to announce the launch of TruStrip Rapid Progesterone Test Kit for determining the ovulation period in dogs and cows. This test kit greatly simplifies the process of screening dogs and cows for their most ideal breeding time. The results of the test are obtained within a matter of minutes—similar to performing a home-based pregnancy test. This new product builds upon the previous ELISA-based test kit for ovulation testing supplied by ADI. Successful Trial of Zika vaccine in mice using ADI's Zika Env ELISA kits

Alpha Diagnostic International's (ADI) Mouse ZIKV Env ELISA kits were used in the peer reviewed paper published yesterday in the journal Nature. The authors demonstrate that two different ZIKV vaccine candidates provided complete protection in mice against a ZIKV strain from Brazil and suggest that a ZIKV vaccine for humans will likely be feasible. The rapid development of a safe and effective vaccine to prevent the Zika virus (ZIKV) is a global priority, as infection in pregnant women has been shown to lead to fetal microcephaly and other major birth defects.  Science Daily news release reported that vaccine protection against Zika has been achieved- https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2016/06/160628114836.htm

The neutralizing antibodies that provided immunity to Zika infection were assessed using ADI’s ZIKV Env ELISA kits. http://www.nature.com/nature/journal/vaap/ncurrent/pdf/nature18952.pdf

ADI's mission is to develop and supply diagnostic and validating solutions for promoting global health through improved vaccine therapeutics and mitigating the spread of human and animal diseases.

ADI has remained faithful to its mission by being the first company to develop ELISA kits during the Ebola virus epidemic in Africa as well as the Zika virus episodes in Brazil and the Americas. ADI has developed multiple Zika virus antibody (IgM and IgG) ELISA kits for humans, mice and monkeys which are currently being used for zika virus detection and vaccine development. It is worth recalling that ZIKV is a member of the flavivirus family of viruses which are transmitted by mosquitoes, and ZIKV is responsible for an unprecedented epidemic in the Americas.

ADI's TruStrip Meat Adulteration Rapid Test to the Rescue

A recent Yahoo news article about presence of foreign meats in ground burger meat, or for that matter, presence of meat in ground vegetarian burger is a clear cause for alarm!  This link has the details of the news article.

Fortunately, a simple solution is at hand.  ADI has been marketing several kits for rapidly testing for the presence of meats or foreign meats where they shouldn't be present.  The test kits are very simple (similar to home pregnance test kits) and can be used by anyone without any need for special skills.  More details about the TruStrip RDT Meat Adulteration Tests can be found here

ADI to Exhibit at the 14th Annual Vaccines + Therapeutics Summit in Washington, DC, May 17-19, 2016

ADI will be attending and exhibiting at the 14th Annual Vaccines + Therapeutics Summit in Washington, DC on May 17-19.   In the fight against emerging infectious diseases, ADI is making available validating and research tools for the scientific and medical communities.
ADI has developed Zika antibody ELISA tests as well as polyclonal and monoclonal antibodies to some Zika proteins (Env, NS1, prM, and Capsid).  For additional details about these products, please follow the link below.

ADI has also developed an exciting product called TruStrip Sample Transfer System (STS) that makes it very easy to collect biological samples on the strips, dry at room temp, store or send by regular mail without incurring huge expenses for cold/frozen chain or custom regulations.  For further details about TruStrip STS, please follow the link below.

ADI to Participate in the International Zika Summit 2016

An International Zika Summit has been organized to bring together scientists and public health professionals around the world working on Zika. The speed and extent of this outbreak, which the WHO declared a Public Health Emergency of International Concern, requires open collaborations between researchers, the public health community and the public. This meeting will provide a venue for open such discussions.  ADI will be participating in this summit and present the availability of kits and reagents that the research community could use for developing countermeasures against the spread of this disease.  For further details about the summit, please visit http://www.zikasummit2016.org/

Zika Virus Detection in Humans and Animals Using ELISA Kits

San Antonio, Texas-based biotech company Alpha Diagnostic International, Inc (ADI) has developed several ELISA test kits for the detection of major Zika viral protein antibodies (Capsid, Envelope, prM, and NS1). The ELISA kits are available for humans as well as monkeys and mice that can be readily used in ongoing research and vaccine development projects on animal models of disease.
